Elon Musk has had a very rocky bond with his father, Errol Musk, and the Tesla owner once expressed that there’s no hope of them ever reconciling. Musk, who claimed that he was picked on by other kids during his school days following his short stature, alleged that his father’s words after one violent altercation with his fellow peers contributed to their distant bond.
Although his father confirmed that Musk was hospitalized as a result of the bullying, he shared a conflicting viewpoint on the incident.
Elon Musk Alleged His Father Berated Him After Violent Altercation With His Peers
In Walter Isaacson’s biography of Elon Musk (via CBS News), the billionaire recounted being bullied during his school days, and one alleged brutal altercation resulted in the billionaire landing at the hospital.
According to his brother, Kimbal Musk, the beatings were so severe that Musk’s face at the end was unrecognizable.
They sat on him and just kept beating the sh-t out of him and kicking him in the head. When they got finished, I couldn’t even recognize his face. It was such a swollen ball of flesh that you could barely see his eyes.
However, it wasn’t the scars that troubled Musk but his father’s alleged reaction to it, as Musk claimed that his father, Errol Musk, berated him after he reached home, adding:
I had to stand for an hour as he yelled at me and called me an idiot and told me that I was just worthless
While his brother corroborated the story, the Tesla CEO’s father shared a conflicting viewpoint on the incident, claiming, “No, I did not berate Elon”.
That is nonsense. Elon was in the hospital for a few days. It was not possible to do that nor would I have done that. I was shocked by the incident.
Even though Musk later deemed his father a “terrible person”, Errol Musk hasn’t shied away from speaking highly of the Tesla CEO, even though he claimed that Musk’s allegiance to Trump might not be what it seems.
Elon Musk’s Allegiance to Donald Trump Might Be a Facade Per His Father
In this election, Elon Musk has served as one of Donald Trump‘s biggest endorsers. However, according to his father, the billionaire’s stance on paper might not be what it seems on the surface, alleging Musk “is dead center’ politically”.
Elaborating on it, Errol Musk claimed that his son is “smarter than anybody I have ever met”, and added that he’s always going to support the Iron Man 2 star, as he believes the Tesla CEO is “doing the right thing”.
Elon is dead center’ politically, emphasising that he is in the middle of the political spectrum and that neither he nor Donald Trump align with the far-right.
It can’t be said for certain if Musk’s dad is right with his assessment or not, as the billionaire’s stance on this election paints an entirely different picture.
