YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Dancers with the Ballet Western Reserve are gearing up for their big holiday show, “The Nutcracker.”
Hundreds of dancers have been preparing for the show since September. It’s an iconic holiday ballet the company has been putting on for several years. Each year, thousands watch the performance at DeYor Performing Arts Center.
“It’s, of course, a family-friendly event to kick off the holiday season. We always do ‘The Nutcracker’ every year, but we try to do something a little bit different each time we do it to keep it fresh,” said executive director Danielle Perrotta.
“The Nutcracker” will show at 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 and at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 8. Tickets can be purchased online.
