With his association with Warner Bros. proving highly successful for him, it was anybody’s guess that a third movie was always on the cards. And it seems to have materialized finally, as the Studio has given official word about the Strictly Ballroom director’s future.

Baz Luhrmann‘s 62nd birthday has brought with it a memorable gift for him – a new movie with Warner Brothers Studios. It has come to light that his next project with Warner Bros. is already confirmed. The movie will revolve around the story of Joan of Arc.
The story is one close to many French people, revolving around the heroics of a person who played a critical role in the Hundred Years’ War, even playing a critical role in the Siege of Orléans.
It is anybody’s guess that they need to get the casting right if they are to harbor any hopes of justifying the people’s expectations. And it seems that they might have stumbled across the perfect person for playing the role.
One fan had suggested only a few days back the idea of casting Emma Corrin in the titular role in a movie about the French patron saint. And it seems like their wish could finally come true.

Baz Luhrmann has already begun working on his next project, which though yet untitled, he’s currently referring to as Jehanne or Jehanne d’Arc. Deadline revealed that as of now, the Australia director is right in the middle of his creative process.
While he’s still working on the script, casting for the movie is already underway, with the primary search for a young female in “the ultimate teenage girl coming of age story, set in the Hundred Years’ War.”
With an official confirmation yet to come forth, it is anybody’s guess who will be portraying the patron saint. But it seems that Emma Corrin is being backed by many to have the pole position for the role.
The 28-year-old, who made headlines recently for her role in Deadpool & Wolverine , is a name familiar to many in the industry. Having played the role of Lady Diana in The Crown also made her a favorite amongst many fans. She has also starred in projects like Lady Chatterley’s Lover, and A Murder at the End of the World.
While some might believe that her chances are limited, owing to her British nationality. But we know that Luhrmann is not one to be bound by the demands of signing stars based on their nationality. The director will cast who he thinks is the right option
