EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) – Beaver Local welcomes back a group of five letter winners – Hunter Warrick, Taylor Johnston (3.6 apg), Owen Hill (16.1 ppg, 7.5 rpg), Luke Rettos and Matt Anderson – that’s hungry for a successful season.
Coach Nick Miller, entering his sixth season at the helm of the program, says, “The strengths of this team are our athleticism, [team] speed, the unselfishness they [play with] and [the fact] we have multiple year returning lettermen.”
A handful of newcomers could see significant time with the program this winter in Aiden Dray, Landon Wheatley, Tucker McElroy and Nick McKenzie.
“The expectation every night is to compete at a high-level regardless of the opponent,” Miller says. “We’re working towards the postseason each night. We expect to compete in both the Buckeye-8 and OVAC conferences chasing a conference championship.”
The season tips off at home against Crestview on December 4.
