CRAIG LEVEIN has hailed Ben Doak as Scotland’s next world class player.
The ex-Scotland boss watched the 19-year-old tear £80 million Man City man Josko Gvardiol to shreds during last night’s stunning win over Croatia.
And Levein reckons Doak has shown he could become one of the planet’s best wingers.
He said: “It’s maybe a bit early to say this but this kid could be a world class player.
“And I think Steve knows that as well.
“When you have pace like that, there are very few defenders who when you square them up one v one, they can deal with you.

“He’s proven that this evening, even the top defenders in the world – he can go past them at a whim.
“Just imagine when he’s had three or four years, he’ll be even quicker and will have more confidence.
“He will have ten times more confidence then too.”
Doak terrorised £76million Manchester City star Josip Gvardiol on a thrilling night in Glasgow – and former national team boss Levein is sure that he did so with words of advice from Clarke in his ears.
Levein said: “Steve clearly had a word with him at half-time about Gvardiol to say ‘take him on’.
“I would have hated to have played against him in that second half.
“He was terrifying.”
