Blue Jays’ Bo Bichette picks up one hit in second rehab game with triple-A Buffalo

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette‘s second rehab game with the triple-A Buffalo Bisons went much like his first.

Bichette went 1-for-3 with a single and a strikeout before he was removed in the top of the seventh inning in a game against Gwinnett Stripers on Thursday. He also finished 1-for-3 with a single in his first rehab game on Tuesday.

Along with his single and strikeout, Bichette also grounded out in his first at-bat. Both balls Bichette put in play produced an exit velocity of over 100 mph.

Bichette also played six innings at shortstop and made a couple of plays in the field including a 6-4-3 double play.

The 26-year-old Bichette had not played since July 19 due to a calf strain. He has been on the injured list twice this season because of the same injury.

Bichette was in the midst of the poorest offensive output of his six-year career before the injury with a .222/.275/.320 slash line and just four home runs through 80 games this season.
