Bo Nix throws his first NFL touchdown pass for Denver Broncos

Bo Nix throws his first NFL touchdown pass for Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix had a tough first half in the rain at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The former Pinson Valley High School and Auburn standout completed 7-of-15 passes for minus-7 yards against the New York Jets on Sunday. Nix did not complete any of the eight passes that he threw to receivers who were beyond the line of scrimmage.

But things picked up for Nix in the second half, including the first touchdown pass of his NFL career.

Nix capped an 11-play, 87-yard drive by connecting with wide receiver Cortland Sutton on a third-and-7 throw from the Jets 8-yard line for a touchdown with 3:08 remaining in the third quarter.

The extra point after the TD gave Denver a 7-6 lead.

The touchdown came in the Broncos’ fourth game of the 2024 season and on the 135th pass of Nix’s career.

Nix already has two rushing touchdowns this season.
