COPS hunting for a missing man have found a body near a country road.
John Geddes, 33, was last seen six days ago in the centre of Lossiemouth, Moray.
Specialist resources from Police Scotland, including helicopter, dogs and Mountain Rescue personnel, along with other partner agencies were deployed to try and find him.
But earlier today, cops shut the main road into Lossiemouth after a body was discovered near the route.
While his identity has yet to be established, the family of Mr Geddes, from the local area, have been told.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A941 road near Lossiemouth is closed between the B9103 and B9135 following the discovery of the body of a man, around 4.10pm on Sunday, 17 November.
“Formal identification is yet to take place however the family of missing person John Geddes is aware.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route.”
