A CHILD was rushed to hospital after plunging through a skylight at a Scots library.

Mercy crews raced to the Ardler Complex on Turnberry Avenue, Dundee, on Sunday evening after the alarm was raised around 8pm.

It’s understood a boy fell through a skylight on the roof of Ardler Community Library, The Press and Journal reports.

Cops and The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were scrambled to the scene.

Officers confirmed a boy was rushed to hospital following the incident.

The nature of his injuries is unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.55pm on Sunday, 15 September, 2024, we received a report that a child had fallen from height at a premises on Turnberry Avenue, Dundee.

“The boy was taken to hospital for treatment.”

Meanwhile, Ardler Community Library was closed to the public.

A spokesperson for Leisure and Culture Dundee said: “We can confirm that an incident took place but it would be inappropriate for us to comment further.

“Ardler Community Library is currently closed and alternative provision is available at libraries across the city.”
