MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) — A new program has been launched at the Mercer County Career Center (MCCC).
Those interested in obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) can now go through the school with its new partnership with CNB Wagner Enterprise.
The program has been in the making for over a year, as MCCC has noticed a greater need for CDL-licensed drivers in the area. Six students have already completed the new program.
“CNB Wagner’s training program is designed to help adult learners who have busy lives as it promotes flexibility in theory training and allows for a condensed behind-the-wheel and testing portion that sees a high successful completion rate,” MCCC Assistant Director/Continuing Education Coordinator Aaron Kline said in a news release.
After completing an online course, students will complete the behind-the-wheel portion of the program in a one-week, 40-hour section that combines training and testing at MCCC.
Funding is available to help with training costs. To enroll or to find more information, visit MCCC’s website.
