Carl Weathers has been a celebrated name through generations, the former football player became famous for his iconic role as Apollo Creed in the Rocky series alongside Sylvester Stallone and was reported to have passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 1 at the age of 76 as per Deadline.

Beyond his legendary boxing persona, he made a mark in a wide range of roles, from the action-packed Predator and the comedy hits such as Happy Gilmore and Arrested Development, and the most notable of them all was the Star Wars spinoff series The Mandalorian.

James Earl Jones, the incredibly versatile actor and the unforgettable voice behind Darth Vader, passed away at the age of 93 on September 9, as reported by NBC News. Throughout his illustrious career, Jones racked up two Tony Awards, two Emmy Awards, an honorary Academy Award, and a Grammy.

But despite this impressive haul, he might be most fondly remembered for his uncredited, yet monumental, role in Star Wars, bringing to life the iconic voice of Darth Vader. While he’s no longer with us, his legendary voice will forever be a part of millions.

Akira Toriyama, the brilliant mind behind Dragon Ball, one of the most popular and best-selling Japanese comics ever, passed away at the age of 68 on 1st March, as reported by BBC. Toriyama’s death came after suffering from an acute subdural hematoma, according to his studio.

His creation wasn’t just a comic, it was a global phenomenon that shaped the childhoods of countless fans. From epic battles to unforgettable characters, Dragon Ball has left an unforgettable mark on countless lives. There is no doubt, his work will continue to inspire and entertain for generations to come.

The world of animation has lost a cherished voice. The talented actress who brought to life beloved characters like Misty, and Jessie in Pokemon has passed away at the age of 55. Diagnosed with breast cancer in May, she sadly passed away on August 10. Her voice graced 423 episodes of Pokémon, one of the most iconic franchises ever!

Veronica Taylor, the voice of Ash Ketchum, broke the news to the world on X, saying,

Rachael was an extraordinary talent, a bright light that shone through her voice whether speaking or singing, She will be forever remembered for the many animated roles she played—Rachael was so thankful for all the generous love and support that was given to her as she battled cancer. It truly made a positive difference.

But her contributions didn’t stop there. She also lent her voice to characters in shows like Hunter x Hunter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Winx Club, and even voiced various Pokémon in the Super Smash Bros. game series.

And last but certainly not least, yet another heart-wrenching loss. Tom Wyner, the English-American voice actor, producer, writer, and director, passed away at the age of 77 on the 30th of June. Wyner was known for his unforgettable roles in iconic anime series such as Cowboy Bebop, Digimon, and Ghost in the Shell, among many others.

His passing was confirmed by his agency on the social media platform X, leaving fans heartbroken. Shows like Robotech, Digimon Adventure, and Power Rangers will forever remain an integral part of millions of childhoods, and in a way, his legacy will continue to live on through them.
