Chick-fil-A plans to open between 25 and 30 new restaurants in Michigan by the end of 2028.
According to Eat This, Not That, Michigan currently has 28 locations.
Chick-fil-A plans to open four restaurants in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area, reports Eat This, Not That.
“With a unique blend of rural, suburban and city neighborhoods, Michigan is filled with tight-knit communities and proud residents,” Scott Mayson, Chick-fil-A’s area director for the Midwest region, said in a press release. “When looking to identify new opportunities to serve guests and support local communities and economic development, expanding our presence in Michigan was a clear next step.”
Chick-fil-A’s expansion plans also include new business ventures. In August, Deadline reported the chain is working on its own streaming service with plans to debut original content.
Chick-fil-A is also in talks with production companies and studios with the idea of creating “family-friendly shows,” including unscripted content.
