Demi Lovato’s latest documentary Child Star focuses on the upbringing and effects of being a child actor. The Camp Rock actress interviews a couple of her fellow peers and seasoned veterans in the industry including Kenan Thompson, Christina Ricci, and Drew Barrymore.
Most of them talked about their finances in some capacity, and as a child actor, you don’t know how anything really works because that’s all up to the adults. “I uncovered that people in my surrounding network had been taking money without me knowing for years,” former Disney star Alyson Stoner revealed. Kenan Thompson and his family also trusted his money with a con artist who took every single penny from his earnings when he was at Nickelodeon.
