In a clip shared by @30problemz on X, the former 45th president of the USA was seen supporting these otherwise-reported-baseless claims (see CBS News), saying:
In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs! The people that came in, they’re eating the cats! They’re eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is what’s happening in our country.
While Trump defensively made his point, Kamala Harris was seen laughing at his claims that were backed up by rumors. But while there was that, it seems like Trump also got on the wrong side of one major Hollywood celebrity, whose support could have really helped him with these elections: The billionaire mainstream pop singer and childless cat lady, Taylor Swift.
This is because, after the debate’s conclusion, the 34-year-old singer took to her Instagram handle @taylorswift to endorse Harris with a picture of her holding her cat.

That’s not all. Continuing, she cleared out the air on her false, AI-generated endorsement of Trump posted to the former US president’s website, before going forward to reveal, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” emphasizing her belief that “we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
This post was signed as “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady”, further making it evident that Trump making those claims about the immigrants in Springfield didn’t sit well with the Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me? singer. But she’s not the only person to endorse Harris over Trump, as multiple other celebrities seem to be doing the same.
Multiple Other Celebrities Are Also Siding With Kamala Harris
This time, it seems like Hollywood is strongly on Kamala Harris’ side. This is because countless celebrities are speaking out and letting their opinions be heard as they extend their support to the current Vice President of the United States. And, just like Swift, these icons aren’t hesitating to hold fund-raising events for the Democratic presidential nominee.
According to reports shared by the New York Times, the list of the celebs hosting or scheduled to host events for the Harris ticket includes multiple big names among the likes of actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Robert De Niro, Molly Ringwald, Matt Damon; producer Shonda Rhimes; filmmaker Lin-Manuel Miranda; and chef José Andrés.
While these big names have held dance parties, receptions, and celebrity bashes, and will be holding celebrity chef events like “Cooking for Kamala” and a dinner headlined by Matt Damon and Lin-Manuel Miranda for fund-raising purposes, Oprah Winfrey is also reportedly set to organize an unofficial Zoom campaign event to extend her support to Harris.
All in all, the stakes are really high this time around, and for now, it seems like the one on the winning team is Kamala Harris. After all, she has earned the support of the billionaire who is followed to the core by millions (if not billions) of Swifties from all across the globe!
