COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – There’s a big birthday party that started Friday and lasts all weekend in Columbiana.
Birdfish Brewing is celebrating the ninth anniversary of opening its taproom. In the beginning, brewing was done in a one-barrel system on Main Street. Now, Birdfish creates its craft brews using seven barrels with sizes of 200 gallons and even capable of holding over 400 gallons.
Birdfish has become more than just a place for people to drink good beer but also does fundraisers to help support the community.
“It’s just love and family. We generate a space for people to come whether that’s to celebrate a wedding anniversary or a birthday — we’ve had people propose here at Birdfish. So it’s awesome to see the growth and just the support behind,” said Greg Snyder, with Birdfish Brewing.
The party also includes a new bourbon barrel-aged ale that is now being poured.
The three-day birthday event ends Sunday night.
