One person was injured and had to be extricated from their vehicle following a rollover crash in Shelton on Sunday.
Emergency crews responded to a report of the crash just before 5:30 p.m. in the area of 333 Bridgeport Ave. and found that the vehicle had rolled over into a utility pole, according to the Shelton Fire Department. The vehicle was on its driver side with one person trapped inside.
Fire officials said the driver was initially unconscious as crews began working to extricate them. The roof had to be removed from the vehicle before crews could get the victim out, which took about 13 minutes.
The extent of the victim’s injuries were not immediately clear.
The road was closed in the area of the crash while crews were on scene and later reopened.
