After depression Boris flooded Central Europe with rain in recent days, it is now Southern Europe’s turn: Italy in particular is bracing itself for a lot of precipitation and has issued a code red. The northern Italian region is being hit by flooding. According to weather models, up to 200 mm of precipitation could fall locally by the end of the week, and possibly even more locally. Croatia is also issuing a code red today, albeit for heavy gusts of wind.
