A town employee in Cromwell has been accused of sexual assault.
Salvatore Nesci, 55, turned himself in last Thursday in connection with a warrant on charges of fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct, according to Frederick Sifodaskalakis, chief of the Cromwell Police Department.
Nesci, who serves as the town’s public health coordinator, was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. He is expected to be arraigned in Middletown Superior Court next Tuesday.
The mayor of Cromwell did not immediately return a request for comment.
