A Connecticut man is facing charges after police allege he sent an obscene radio transmission from a Connecticut Department of Transportation mobile radio, officials said.

Luis Ortiz, 46, has been arrested and charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal trespass, police said.

Police allege that on July 11, an unauthorized radio transmission of an obscene nature was broadcast from a Connecticut Department of Transportation  mobile radio. The Connecticut State Police and Central District Major Crime Squad were assigned to investigate and issued an arrest warrant for Ortiz. Ortiz turned himself over to authorities on Sept. 12.

Following his arrest, Ortiz was released and is scheduled for arraignment at New Haven Superior Court on Sept. 26.
