Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort in Middlefield is welcoming back its Haunting at the Ridge in October.
The park will be overrun by monsters, demons and zombies this fall for the third consecutive event, according to a Powder Ridge. The event, run in partnership with Phantom Productions, is billed as the “most unique haunt in New England.”
The event will turn the park into a sprawling nightmare, with haunting forces lurking along the trails and chair lifts, according to a statement. The event will expand on previous years’ experiences and also consolidate the event into a “single, immersive journey.”
Special features will include haunted trails with a “spine-chilling chair lift ride through the Valley of the Giants in the dark, guests descend on foot, facing the terrors that haunt the mountain at night,” the Zombie Lounge featuring music, entertainment, fire pits and refreshments, a Zombie Hunt Glow in the Dark Paintball, specialty food and beverage stations and family-friendly sessions on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:30 p.m.
