A school bus was involved in a serious motor vehicle crash in Derby on Thursday morning.
The crash was reported on Roosevelt Drive and involved a hatchback, according to Storm Engine Co. and Ambulance Corps. No. 2.
Photos shared of the crash show that the hatchback ended up partially underneath the rear of the bus with its airbags deployed. The crash was described by crews as “serious.”
The Derby Fire Department as well as mutual aid medics also responded, as the bus crash was one of two crashes reported within about 30 minutes.
It was not immediately clear whether any students were on the bus.
