A tumultuous Madrid derby has ended in a draw. Thibaut Courtois claimed a leading role: after Real’s opening goal, he responded to the Atlético fans, who had chanted “Courtois die”. The goalkeeper was then pelted with projectiles, after which the match was stopped for a while. According to Real coach Carlo Ancelotti, his goalkeeper also suffered a muscle injury during the match.
