Dolphins QB Skylar Thompson ruled out with chest injury

The Miami Dolphins continue to get hit hard by injuries at the quarterback position.

Skylar Thompson was ruled out for the rest of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks because of a chest injury.

Thompson was slow to get up following a sack by Tyrell Dodson. He was hunched over holding his midsection after leaving the field.

The 27-year-old returned for the next series but was down on the field for several minutes after getting hit while completing a pass to running back De’Von Achane. Thompson remained on his back for a few minutes before sitting up and walking directly to the locker room.

With Thompson out, Tim Boyle would come in at quarterback.

The Dolphins turned to Thompson after Tua Tagovailoa was placed on injured reserve following a concussion he suffered in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.
