Parker opened its first nationally televised game with one hand tied behind its back and made costly first-half mistakes as the Class 6A second-ranked Thundering Herd fell 48-26 to Carrollton (Ga.) in Friday’s interstate matchup at Major Brown Memorial Stadium in Birmingham.
Parker (4-1, 2-0 Class 6A, Region 5) was without its starting quarterback Dylan Reese and made two crucial special teams errors in the first quarter to provide excellent field position for the Trojans.
