The obsession with Hollywood celebrities and their love lives will just never fade! That being said, Hollywood has seen its fair share of love stories crumble over the years. Even though the stars have moved on, their fans still very much remain the child of divorce, clutching to those memories. Here are some of the breakups that made people seriously lose hope in love!

Hands down, everyone thought Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were the ultimate endgame. Among the endless roster of Hollywood duos, these two seemed to radiate a pure, electric chemistry that could practically light up the room, and not just the screen! The magic began on the set of 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man, where, just like every great Spider-Man duo, sparks flew and romance soon followed. The pair dated for four years before parting ways.

Fast forward to now, Emma Stone is happily married to Dave McCary and has a daughter, while Andrew Garfield is currently linked with model Dr. Kate Tomas. Despite moving on, these two still keep the friendship strong and aren’t shy about showing their love for one another every chance they get. The viral video where Garfield described Stone as the “shot of espresso” and said, “She’s like being bathed in sunlight,” doesn’t particularly help fans move on. But well, life goes on.

2. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

Yet another classic Hollywood duo that took their on-screen romance off-screen and quickly became the ultimate IT couple of the moment. After making fans swoon with their on-screen love, it was only natural that fans adored them even more in real life.

For Twilight fans, it was like a dream come true! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were together from 2009 to 2013. But in 2012, things took a dramatic turn when cheating rumors swirled around Stewart. The actress then made headlines with a heartfelt statement addressing the scandal(via People),

I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry,

The two have managed to keep their friendship alive over the years and remain a part of each other’s lives to this day. While fans still reminisce about the good ol’ days!

This duo needs no introduction, and definitely no explanation for why they’re on this list! Fans are still reeling from their split! Even with Selena Gomez now in a high-profile relationship with Benny Blanco and Justin Bieber recently welcoming a baby boy with his wife Hailey Baldwin, people can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact that these two aren’t together anymore.

But to give credit where it’s due, their love story is straight out of a soap opera.Jelena made things official in 2011, and had an on-agaian-off again relationship until 2018, after which Bieber tied the knot with Baldwin just months after their big breakup.

Fast forward to 2022, and a jaw-dropping Met Gala photo of Gomez and Hailey Bieber together nearly broke the internet, indicating they have most certainly moved on, however, fan wars still continue!

Ariana Grande and Mac Miller’s love story kicked off with a tweet that blossomed into a beautiful friendship. Before fans knew it, Baby It’s Cold Outside was here, followed by The Way, which completely broke the internet and drove fans wild.

The duo turned into a full-blown couple that lasted nearly two years before they called it quits in May 2018, with everything ending on good terms. Sadly, just a few months later, in September, the world learned that Miller had tragically died of an accidental overdose at the age of 26. Grande’s heartfelt tribute to him on Instagram had the entire internet reaching for the tissues. She wrote(via Vogue),

I adored you from the day I met you when I was 19 and I always will, I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it. We talked about this. So many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad, I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest.

Fans are still swooning over this incredibly sweet and wholesome relationship, with many saying that Mac Miller was the one for Ariana Grande.
