The Egghead Island arc in One Piece has finally concluded with the death of Saint Jaygarcia Saturn as he failed to complete his mission. His inability to capture the Straw Hat Pirates and stop them from gaining knowledge about the One Piece mysteries resulted in Imu getting enraged and taking away all the powers that made him one of the Five Elders.
However, as the story moves forward, One Piece fans might have forgotten one major aspect of the Egghead Island arc that, although featured only on a small panel in the manga, might just have the most importance. This aspect revolves around Blackbeard and his crew, who made a small stop at Egghead.
According to a One Piece theory, there is a chance that Saturn’s death might prove to be the biggest advantage for Blackbeard. This is because of his crew’s involvement during the Egghead Island War, which could not make him the most dangerous pirate in the One Piece world.
Members of the Blackbeard Pirates Made a Stop at Egghead
One of the most crucial chapters in One Piece manga, chapter 1107, made the revelation that two titanic captains of Blackbeard’s crew, Catarina Devon and Van Augur, were present at Egghead Island when the war was going on. The two had a specific mission for which they needed Catarina to touch Saturn and use her Devil Fruit powers.
Catarina has the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune, a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that not only allows her to transform into a nine-tail fox but also disguises themselves as anyone they like. However, her real intention behind copying Saturn has not been revealed yet.
While they were on Egghead, they also met Caribou who decided to offer them information about the Ancient Weapons if they allowed him to join the crew. This proves that Blackbeard has been planning something big and might use it in the final One Piece war.
Blackbeard Might Have Just Become The Most Powerful Pirate
According to a theory posted by u/Brilliant-Quit-9254 on Reddit, although there is a chance that Catarina’s ability to copy Saturn might become useless because of Saturn’s death, she still might have access to his memories.
That would be wild if true.

If this holds any grounds, Blackbeard might have knowledge of almost every aspect of the World Government and their shady past.
Saturn’s former status as an Elder and the Warrior God of Science and Defense allowed him to control the entire World Government and also granted him access to all the mysteries, including the Mother Flame, the Void Century, Imu’s identity, etc. Blackbeard gaining access to all this knowledge would certainly put him at the top of the World Government’s list of most dangerous pirates.
Also, if this theory turns out to be false, Blackbeard still has potentially gained access to all the Seraphims and the Pacifistas, who can substantially increase Blackbeard’s strength as a pirate. He might just prove himself to be an even bigger One Piece villain than Imu.
