A former minister at a Mobile church was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to two counts of child sex abuse.
Kenneth Flynt Turberville, 53, who used to be a minister at Clear Water Christian Church, pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old, according to Mobile County Circuit Court records.
Turberville’s sentencing, which was scheduled for Monday morning, was not yet in court records on Monday night, but Fox 10 reported he was sentenced to 20 years in prison — 10 years on each count — by Mobile County Circuit Court Judge Vicki Davis.
On one of his social media profiles, Turberville identifies himself as a “full time praise and worship member at Clear Water Christian Church on Sundays.”
