Last year, Flemish cities and municipalities collected a record amount of 124 million euros in fines. This mainly concerns GAS fines. By comparison, at the start of the administrative period, in 2019, a whopping 43 million euros were collected in municipal fines. This is reported by VRT based on figures from Statistics Flanders.
