And yesterday saw the team welcome fierce local rivals Red Star to their home.

The “Eternal Derby” is regarded as one of the fiercest in Europe dating all the way back to 1946.

But Partizan were left humiliated as visitors Red Star thrashed them 4-0 to move 11 points clear of them in the Serbian Super League.

Cherif Ndiaye’s hat-trick set the defending champs on their way to a dominant victory.

And Partizan’s home supporters were left raging at full-time.

Reports in Serbia claim that after the final whistle, a group of angry fans descended on Partizan’s dressing room.

They allegedly smash the window to the area containing Partizan’s players and boss.

And Stanojevic was reportedly hit by flying glass which came from the broken window.

The tactician, who spent two years at Partizan as a player in the late 90s, later reported for his post-match press conference.

He left journalists shocked as he appeared with multiple cuts on his face, including his forehead and nose.

The gashes were barely concealed underneath several pieces of tape.

And Stanojevic said: “The fans broke the window, it hit me and that’s it, nothing else happened.”

He will now be hoping to appease supporters by getting back to winning ways against Mladost Lucani this weekend.

The two-time title winner is in his third spell at Partizan, having returned to club in July following a short-lived stint with Turkish side Konyaspor.

Stanojevic has also managed in China, Israel and Saudi Arabia.

But he’s only won just three of his 13 matches this season, losing seven times in the process.
