LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — A man who coached for the Youngstown Phantoms entered a no-contest plea in Columbiana County Municipal Court Monday in connection to a task force sting arrest.
Robert Acri, 30 pleaded no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. He was found guilty by the judge and ordered to pay a $250 fine.
A charge of possessing criminal tools was dismissed and the disorderly conduct charge was reduced from a charge of engaging in prostitution.
Acri was arrested in September when task force agents conducted an undercover sting and said he responded to an online ad for sex. He was arrested when he showed up in Salem to meet the person from the ad, according to a police report.
Acri was suspended from the Phantoms organization after his arrest. WKBN 27 First News reached out to Phantoms officials about Acri’s status now with the team and has not heard back.
