YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A collection drive is set for people who want to get rid of old cell phones, laptops, gaming systems and other electronics.
Oak Hill Collaborative is hosting the drive-in partnership with GreenBoard IT. It will be held Nov. 22 from 11 am. to 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Collaborative’s Main Branch Location, located at 507 Oak Hill Ave. in Youngstown.
The collection drive will allow residents to drop off technology that no longer works or is
unwanted. After the drive ends, GreenBoard IT will recycle and dispose of the technology.
The collection is to help prevent electronics and their dangerous materials from going into landfills.
Some items accepted at the collection site include laptops, PCs, DVD players, MP3 players,
gaming consoles, routers, hard drives, keyboards, wires, scanners, LCD monitors, servers,
cameras and other technology.
Printers, TVs and CRT monitors cannot be accepted.
