Among the many groups of levels in Astro Bot, if the player wants to continue delving into secret stages, they can do so by finding the Lost Galaxy. In these small galaxies, there are generally seven collectibles to gather, including bots and puzzle pieces. In this guide, we’ll explain how to find all the Ghouls & Bots collectible locations.
One distinctive feature of this level is that there are many sections where you’ll once again need the light bulb to reveal and discover invisible platforms. You’ll need to pay close attention to avoid missing any of the hidden collectibles.
Bot 1
At the start of the level, you’ll need to move across the various invisible platforms using the light bulb to reveal hidden areas.
Before reaching a checkpoint, to the left, you’ll see a tree with eyes, and near that tree, there’s an enemy you’ll need to defeat. Defeating this enemy will reveal a crack in the ground.
Above that crack, you’ll need to perform a charged ground pound with the square button to reach the lower part of the stone platform. Inside, the first collectible bot in Ghouls & Bots awaits you.
Bot 2
As you continue through the level, shortly after some moving stone platforms controlled by ghosts, you’ll reach a checkpoint. At this checkpoint, you’ll find a cable on the ground, which you need to pull to get the light bulb.
Next, turn your gaze to the right and direct the light bulb towards a tree that has moving eyes. Hit this tree, and it will spit out the second bot of the five available in this Astro Bot level.
Bot 3
One of the unique aspects of the collectible locations in Ghouls & Bots is that they reference a popular Capcom game from the ’80s.
To find the third bot inside a castle-like area, you’ll need to illuminate invisible platforms with the light bulb. There will be two paths—right and left—afterward.
The left path will reveal the third of the five available bots. This bot resembles the protagonist from Ghouls ‘n Ghosts. With this bot, you’ll only have five more collectibles to find in Astro Bot’s Ghouls & Bots.
Bot 4
Continuing through the level, you’ll eventually reach the entrance to another castle with plenty of things to collect. If you stand on the left side of the stone platform, you’ll see a giant cauldron on the opposite side.
You can hit this cauldron with one of the light bulbs. Doing so will cause it to tip over, spilling its contents and revealing two invisible platforms.
By performing a charged jump with Astro’s lightning ability, you’ll reach the platforms and approach where the cauldron was. You’ll find the Sir Daniel Fortesque bot, referencing the MediEvil franchise.
Puzzle Piece 1
In the same area, but heading to the right after returning to the main stone platform once you’ve obtained the MediEvil bot, if you continue along the main path but go slightly to the right, you’ll see the first of two puzzle pieces floating in the level.
You’ll need to be careful where you shine the light to avoid missing any of the invisible platforms that are constantly floating and moving. After grabbing the piece, you can return to the main path for Ghouls & Bots.
Puzzle Piece 2
Once you enter another one of the castles to get the second and final puzzle piece in this level, you’ll see a giant chandelier hanging from the wall with its rope attached, allowing you to climb up.
Once you’re at the top, you’ll automatically reach a checkpoint, and you’ll nearly see the end of the level. But before continuing, you’ll need to turn around, and behind you, you’ll spot the second puzzle piece in this Astro Bot level.
Bot 5 (Pyramid Head Bot)
Once more, as you turn back towards the level’s end, you’ll cross a stone bridge, and on one of its railings to the left, you’ll spot the final bot awaiting rescue. One of the most iconic characters in the horror genre, Pyramid Head from Silent Hill, serves as the inspiration for this particular bot.
Clearly, the development team carefully thought about which characters to add to this level, which draws inspiration from horror and spooky themes in general.
