GREENVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) – Greenville lost six contests, a year ago, by 9-points or less. The Trojans are looking for improvement this year and to get back into contention.
The Trojans will have seniors Lexi Busch (4.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg) and Peyton Davis (5.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg) back in the mix this winter while Preslie Kirila (10.8 ppg) and Ella Tokar also return for their junior years. Look for freshmen Ava Cascio and Kinlie Kirila to possibly step into roles on the varsity level.
Coach Samantha Faler says, “I expect this team to make the most of their rebuilding season last year and very impressive summer to play extremely hard, smart and together. These ladies have spent so much time in the gym and weight room, so I expect them to outwork their opponents and play with a ton of heart. Also, being able to get 8-9 varsity players competing for time to really help us do some different things on the basketball court that we haven’t been able to do in the past.”
The new season gets underway with a matchup against Cambridge Springs on December 3.
