BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Rock the South, a music festival that brings some of the biggest acts in country music to the little town of Cullman, has announced that Hank Williams Jr., Kid Rock and Nickelback will headline this year’s festival.
On Tuesday, festival organizers announced the full slate of performers who will play in Alabama between June 19-21. Williams Jr., son of Hank Williams Sr. who is known for songs like “Country Boy Will Survive,” will kick off the festival on Thursday, June 19.
Kid Rock, who began his career as a rapper before transitioning into a more country/rock sound, will headline the next night while Nickelback, a Canadian rock band known for songs like “Rock Star” and “Photograph,” will close out the festival that Saturday.
Other acts that will be performed during the festival include 3 Doors Down, Clay Walker, Shenandoah, Ying Yang Twins and Afroman.
