“He hits really hard”: You Have Some Serious Talent If You Can Beat the Most Difficult Boss Fight in Black Myth: Wukong Erlang Shen Easily

Black Myth: Wukong has taken everything great about the Soulslike genre and dialed it up to eleven featuring different deities from Chinese mythology. Game Science did not hold back giving the gaming community a unique experience as they embarked on a journey hoping to resurrect the original Sun Wukong as the Destined One and encountered their fair share of trials and tribulations across various chapters.

Players powered through the campaign as they faced various foes and recalled the harrowing experience. Some boss battles are much harder than others making this game a worthy challenge for even the most skilled players.

Some Black Myth: Wukong Bosses Are Designed to Unfurl Emotional Damage

The Destined One has embarked on a journey to recover all the relics hoping to resurrect the original Sun Wukong. Players can unlock countless powerful weapons and other tools like the mythical Golden Loong Staff with great perks and benefits that will help them in their quest; unfortunately, players will have to go through a world of hurt before getting through the first few bosses and the difficulty will gradually increase as they progress.

Some players have finished the game and listed all the hardest boss battles from the Yellow Wind Sage in Chapter 2, to Captain Wise-Voice and the Yin Tiger in Chapter 3, The Great Sage’s Broken Shell, which is essentially the soulless husk of Sun Wukong and Erlang Shen. Shen was the opening boss battle who entrapped Wukong in his stone prison and the Destined One can beat him to unlock an alternate ending.

Erlang Shen had an important role in Wukong’s bizarre plan to liberate himself from the rule of the Celestial Court. Shen is the keeper of the memories of Sun Wukong, he will not make it easy for the Destined One to recover this relic and inadvertently serves as the final gatekeeper and the hardest boss battle in Black Myth: Wukong, and even harder than the endgame boss in the Destined One’s ascension to inherit all of the powers and abilities of Sun Wukong.

The gaming community noticed Shen’s aggressive attack patterns and it was a learning curve to figure out the best way to counter each attack. Despite his insane difficulty, some early bosses like Elder Jinchi can be defeated without taking damage or breaking a sweat and it is a concept that applies to every other boss once players nail down their moves and time their attacks accordingly.

Erlang Shen is a formidable opponent and a worthy inclusion to the list of the hardest boss battles in Black Myth: Wukong. The Destined One starts from the bottom and unlocks new items, skills, and items throughout his journey leading to the arena where he will face this powerful god, and defeating him grants him the reward of the memories of Wukong and discovering the truth behind his grand plan.

The gaming community was astounded by the formidable and daunting difficulty presented by Black Myth: Wukong. Some players had to closely inspect their controllers to determine if it was a human flaw or technical problem, especially with the delay input for evading certain attacks.

The game developers wanted to give the gaming community a unique yet harrowing experience. Game Science took everything great from Chinese mythology and represented their culture and deities in the best way possible. Players are exposed to these stories which fuels their curiosity for more knowledge throughout this interactive experience.

Some players are willing to resort to external services to grind for more loot and get better gear rather than putting in the effort themselves. This behavior is slowly turning this gaming genre into a pay-to-win structure which was never the developer’s intention.

Game Science wanted to deliver an authentic gaming experience and it would make sense for the team to represent these bosses the way they are in legend. Hopefully, the gaming community will not be discouraged from playing after being constantly defeated.
