CABRERA (4.10 Doncaster, nap)

She was a convincing winner over this course and distance in July before holding her own in a hot handicap at Newmarket last time. The step up to 1m6f may not have been ideal and in-form trainer Ed Bethell wisely drops her in trip here.

TABITI (3.55 Salisbury, nb)

This Kingman filly looked a hot prospect when winning on debut at Newmarket last time. She went from the front and didn’t have to break sweat. There should be a lot more to come.

BIG MOJO (3.00 Doncaster, treble)

Dropping back to five furlongs looks a wise move by trainer Mick Appleby after his speedy two-year-old just found six too far when fourth in the Gimcrack at York last time. That was still an excellent effort but was even better when taking the Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood over this minimum distance. He beat Aesterius by three-quarters of a length there and it’s likely to be a good battle between them again.

Templegate’s TV verdicts

1.50

SUBSEQUENT looked potentially better than a handicapper when scoring over this trip at Newmarket last time.

He came from a long way back at HQ but didn’t have to hit top gear in landing a comfortable victory. A 4lb rise for that seems fair and this is just the seventh outing for this promising son of Galileo.

Shadow Dance was value for a bit further than a neck when landing a York handicap 21 weeks ago. He wasn’t stopping at the line so should stay and should have more to come.

East India Dock has Ryan Moore in the saddle and he was impressive when winning by more than four lengths at Goodwood.

He drops back in trip here but is pacey enough and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to put the brakes on.

Dream Harder didn’t fire on the Southwell all-weather 15 days ago but earlier went close at Ascot’s Shergar Cup and can outrun his long odds.

Faylaq has some solid form around this trip and won at Ayr two starts ago but needs to raise his game at this level while Quantum Leap often loses his chance with a very slow start so can’t be backed with confidence.

2.25

BENEVENTO struck on debut at Yarmouth over five furlongs and went close in this Listed company when tackling six at Ripon last time.

He bumped into a potential star at the Yorkshire track and there was a good gap back to the third. Moving up in trip is likely to bring more improvement.

Sir Michael Stoute runners are all worth keeping a close eye on and his Jonquil made a winning start at Sandown 14 days ago.

He did well to strike after traffic problems and looks a big danger under Ryan Moore.

Symbol Of Honour takes a drop in class after his length defeat in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes.

We haven’t seem him since that good Royal Ascot effort and he’s been gelded in the meantime. He is another who should appreciate moving up in trip.

God Of War is proven over course and distance after a game maiden victory here in July. He’ll have to find more in this company but trainer Tom Clover is in decent form.

Mr Chaplin has won a couple of times but struggled in a Group 3 latest so has something to prove.

The Waco Kid needs to build on his Acomb Stakes fourth at York.

3.00

BIG MOJO can follow his stablemate Big Evs on to the Flying Childers roll of honour.

Aesterius went on to land a Longchamp Group 3 last time from the front and may force the pace again here.

He will take plenty of pegging back and can hold on for a place.

Tropical Storm is coming here after a gutsy win in Listed company at York latest. He went from the front there and had enough quality to fight off the challengers.

Oisin Murphy stakes on board and he has place prospects again.

Magnum Force was second in that Knavesmire contest when not getting the clearest of runs. He has lots of pace and top Irish trainer Ger Lyons doesn’t send one over without a chance.

Coto De Caza won a novice contest at Goodwood with plenty in hand but is in a deeper race here.

3.35

GREGORY could be the answer to this tricky puzzle. He doesn’t do anything in a hurry so this longer trip should be ideal after a solid third in the Lonsdale Cup at York last time.

He filled the same position in the Goodwood Cup and he was a decent fifth in the St Leger here last season.

Plenty of these have beaten eachother before and Sweet William is probably the most talented of the field.

The issue with him is his attitude as he doesn’t always seem to dig deep when challenged.

He was second in the Goodwood Cup when last seen after a decent third in the Ascot Gold Cup.

Rab Havlin will have to deliver him near the line but he’s a big contender if things drop right.

Trueshan won this 12 months ago and struck in a Sandown Listed contest in July before a modest effort at Goodwood. This galloping track is ideal but he does seem to be past his very best.

2022 winner Coltrane was tailed off at Glorious Goodwood after another modest effort in the Ascot Gold Cup. His liking for this track is a plus but he’s another with something to prove.

Point Lonsdale looked a non-stayer when fifth in the Lonsdale Cup so this stamina test is a worry.

4.10

CABRERA was a convincing winner over this course and distance in July before holding her own in a hot handicap at Newmarket last time.

The step up to 1m6f may not have been ideal and in-form trainer Ed Bethell wisely drops her in trip here.

The consistent Bint Al Daar looks the main danger. She has landed wins at Newmarket and Wolverhampton this season along with a good second in a big field at York latest.

She’s creeping up the weights but should have more to offer.

Beatrice Shilling has yet to get off the mark but showed promise when fourth in a Salisbury handicap. She’s had a little nudge down the weights and has solid place claims.

Miss Alpilles enjoyed stepping up to this trip when landing her first victory at Haydock.

She’s been off since that July success so comes here fresh with an each-way shout.
