Alabama football has had mixed results with former President Donald Trump in attendance.
Twice he has attended Crimson Tide football games; Alabama is 1-1 in those matchups.
The tie looks to have a chance to be broken this season; Trump is considering attending Alabama vs. Georgia game at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The first time, Alabama beat Georgia in the 2017 season national championship game, also known as second-and-26. Alabama won the game 26-23. Trump didn’t see the touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa to DeVonta Smith live, though. He left at halftime.
Trump had arrived before gametime, the first game after he was inaugurated as president. He stood on the field during the national anthem.
Then Trump attended the 2019 game between Alabama and LSU at Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2019. The Tigers won that regular season game, 46-41. LSU went on to win the national championship that season.
In his most recent trip to Tuscaloosa, Trump and First Lady Melania Trump sat in a luxury box after arriving in Air Force One. He was then shown on the video board early in the game.
