Taylor Swift has continuously cemented herself into VMA history every year since her first album. And she will continue to do so after she was nominated for the 15th year in a row.
Who can forget when she won her first VMA and Kanye West famously interrupted her speech? “Thank you so much,” the mega popstar said in her speech when Shakira and ex-Taylor Lautner presented her award. “I always dreamed about what it would be like to maybe win one of these someday, but I never actually thought that it would happen. I sing country music so thank you so much for giving me a chance to win a VMA award.” Kanye jumped on stage saying, “Yo, Taylor. I’m really happy for you. Imma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.”

This year, Taylor is up against Beyoncé in several categories and could challenge the Renaissance artist’s record for the most VMAs. (Beyoncé currently holds the record with 30 awards.)
