HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) says it has made what it’s calling the final arrest in a deadly shooting on Meridian Street last month.
HPD said Seven Nelson, 19, was arrested and charged with reckless murder in the Oct. 12 shooting on Meridian Street that left two dead.
Jordan Lakes, Dion Earl Ernest Roos-VorHauer, Jordan Latrell Smith, Kennedy Thomas Turner and Tyler O’Neal Andrade, were previously charged with reckless murder in the shooting that killed Damien Obrien Manning and Devante Centrell Dixon. Manning died on the scene, while Dixon died from his injuries in the hospital on Nov. 10.
The department said it expects Nelson to be the last person arrested in the case.
According to authorities, on Oct. 12 several officers responded to a gas station in the 3300 block of Meridian Street and heard several guns. At the time, police said they believed several people fired shots in the gas station’s parking lot.
Court documents later said the parking lot was crowded with nearly 100 people at the time.
