SHE thought she’d leave the nail salon with the on-trend aura nails.
But little did beauty lover Makayla know that her epic manicure fail would instead TikTok by storm for all the wrong reasons.
According to the dark-haired stunner, she had asked the nail tech fort the viral aura design, which has picked up quite fan base, especially among those looking for something a little more artistic.
Also known as blush nails or eyeshadow nails, the end result of this sought-after manicure features a burst of diffused colour starting from the centre of your nail.
The viral trend is perfect for anyone obsessed with auras – the colourful electromagnetic field that supposedly surrounds a person’s body and can describe their energy.
For her chic mani, Makayla – who posts under the username @makayla.k93 – had opted for a link pink aura surrounded by a gorgeous blood red outer lining.

According to the beauty buff, she had asked the nail salon ”ahead of time” of they’d be able to do this – as she wasn’t going to get them if the nail techs didn’t feel comfortable and confident enough to pull it off.
Full of confidence, the staff members allegedly told Makayla it wouldn’t be a problem – and they confidently told her they could do the trendy manicure.
But as the woman at the salon started working on her nails, Mikayla noticed that something was off – however, she hoped it was going to be the case of having to trust the process.
As the artist wasn’t doing one nail at a time, the client thought that perhaps by the end of it, it would all come together – which sadly wasn’t what happened.
Hitting back at the critics who told Makayla she only had herself to blame, the woman said: ”I would’ve absolutely told her I didn’t like it on the first nail.
”I genuinely didn’t think she was done.”
After Makalya was left anything but impressed with the final result, she kindly asked the tech behind the masterpiece to redo the manicure – however, that proved to be a grave mistake.
Sharing the horrific nail makeover on her page, the young woman revealed the monstrosity she walked out of the salon with – dark red nails with a white middle that was a far cry from the ombre effect she was after.

”What’s bad is I let them redo them completely and they still turned out like sh*t,” the mortified client wrote in the comments.
Since being posted on the platform, the video has racked up more than a whopping 800k views, with over 1,000 people racing to comments just as horrified as Makayla.

”I audibly gasped,” someone else chimed in.
