The Card Factory is clearing out their stock to make space for Christmas stock

Card Factory is allegedly clearing out its stock to prepare for the upcoming influx of Christmas stock.

It means everything marked 75 per cent off is now just 10p.

“I’ve been through my receipt and worked out the sale stuff, I paid £5.30 for products worth £87.37!” said the bargain hunter.

A photo of the woman’s receipt revealed six rainbow ombre XL bags would normally have cost £10.14, but the sale knocked £9.54 off the price.

Her haul included a variety of celebration cards for dads, sisters and husbands.

And to neatly pack gifts inside, she bought plenty of gift bags in themes such as rainbow ombre, stars, pineapples, teddy bear hugs, and gold spots.

She added some rainbow glitter packs and baby shower kits to her growing basket.

The bargain hunter bought the items in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, but encouraged fellow bargain hunters to look in their local store just in case.

“Thank you for posting this. Saved a fortune”, one person commented.

“Time to stock up”, a second person said.

A third claimed: “They had a clearance sale in Manchester Arndale. Not sure if they had much left this morning.”

“Stock up for birthdays next year”, said a fourth.

Another happy shopper said: “Let’s go hahaha.”

Founded in 1997, Card Factory’s first store was located in Wakefield.

The greetings card chain now operates over 1,000 standalone stores in both the UK and Ireland.

At its peak before administration, the retailer had 2,500 staff working across 335 shops.

The brand also sells products in over 560 Aldi supermarkets as well as operating concessions in Matalan stores.

Back in July, the Card Factory announced the closure of one of its stores in Cumbernauld, Scotland.

Shoppers were left crying to hear about the shocking store closure.

One Facebook user said: “It would be better to just close the centre down completely.”

While another shopper wrote: “This place is an absolute shambles.”

A Card Factory spokesperson said: “We continually review our estate of over 1,050 stores across the UK and Ireland.”

The retailer said it also plans to open or refurbish 43 new stores during the year.

Find your nearest Card Factory store

The Card Factory, like many other chains, has a store locator tool you can use to find what time your nearest location opens:

https://www.cardfactory.co.uk/storefinder/

All you have to do is put in the desired town or your postcode and it will bring up your local store.

Once you’ve done this, you can click “show details” which will bring up that branch’s opening hours.

Retailers opening hours often vary from branch to branch, so it’s worth checking before heading to your local store to avoid a wasted trip.
