I’m a savvy shopper…here are the Zara perfume dupes worth buying, and the ones that smell nothing like the real deal

A BEAUTY fanatic has shared her honest thoughts on the latest fragrance dupes to land in Zara – and it seems that not everything is worth forking out for.

Over the years, the high-street retailer Zara has really upped its perfume game – but is the latest range a hit?

Well, according to one shopper, Anita, from Houston, Texas, some scents are best avoided at all costs.

Taking to TikTok, the whizz revealed which perfume dupes are worth your money and the ones that smell nothing like the real deal.

First up in the video was the viral Marshmallow Addiction in its stunning red bottle, a scent she hoped would smell exactly like Killian Love Don’t Be Shy (£220).

Although Zara’s look-alike was nowhere near the posh version, luckily Anita had stumbled across a scent that was a close match – Zara’s Velvet Shadow.

Meanwhile, their new Cherry Smoothie, which is currently on sale for £11.99, was ”giving Lost Cherry [by Tom Ford] without the Lost”.

The beauty fan described the aroma as ”very sweet paired with Ebony Wood, chef’s kiss”.

On the lookout for a cheaper alternative to the cult favourite YSL Libre that won’t cost a fortune? Then Zara’s Golden Decade (£22.99) is the perfect match.

The affordable perfume boasts notes of a white floral bouquet (jasmine, orange blossom) paired with mandarin, as well as addictive lavender – perfect for autumn and winter.

Whilst testing out all the new aromas, Anita also tried Peach Glow (£6.99) – but despite the promising name and the description online, the aroma was anything but the juicy fruit.

Warning others, she said: ”Only putting this in here cause this is not a dupe for Bitter Peach – or any peach I’ve ever smelt in my entire life.

”This is actually terrible.”

Another major fail was the retailer’s new Freaking Gorgeous perfume, which ca be snapped up for £15.99.

Not a fan of the buy, Anita said: ”This is a dupe of lies. Because it’s not freaking gorgeous – it smells like soap.”

Meanwhile, the next find – Nocturnal Life (£22.99) – was more promising, as Anita said it reminded her of the pricey Angel Share by Killian (£185).

”But only in the initial spray. Once it dries out on your skin, it smells like Play Doh […] and the apple pie booziness goes away very quickly.”

In the clip, Anita had saved the best for last – Zara’s Tobacco Collection, which is priced at just £17.99.

The scent, which she believes is not a dupe of any posh fragrance, reveals notes of rum, white peony and vanilla.

”It is so, so good. It truly is rich and warm.”

The shopper, a little bit let down, wrote in the caption: ”Zara really has been on our pockets but i walked away kinda unimpressed.”
