THE dad of Peter Tobin victim Vicky Hamilton says he pities medics who had to treat the killer in his dying days.
Michael Hamilton Snr spoke out after a fatal accident inquiry revealed details about Tobin’s final days in custody in 2022 with dementia, vascular disease, prostate cancer and pneumonia.
Michael, 74, said spending thousands on the murderer was a waste of money and resources.
And he said: “I hate to hear anybody suffer in life, but that man, there was no problem at all. I’m quite happy that he suffered quite a lot.
“I’m pretty glad that he’s away now, you know, so he’s not costing any more money.
“I don’t have any sympathy whatsoever for the man. But I have got a lot of sympathy for the people watching him and the doctors treating him.
“They must have been saying ‘Why the f*** are we doing this?’”
Serial killer and sex offender Tobin, who died aged 76, was serving three life sentences for the murders of Vicky and Dinah McNicol in 1991 and Angelika Kluk on 2006.
His unclaimed ashes were scattered at sea.
