In-N-Out breaks ground on its Tennesee office building – Orange County Register

In-N-Out Burger has broken ground on a new hub in Franklin, Tenn., signaling an expansion into the Midwest.

Lynsi Snyder, owner and president of the family-owned chain, attended ceremonies at the construction site for the office building on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The 100,000-square-foot office building in the metropolitan Nashville area is expected to be completed in 2026, according to a news release. Its first Tennesee restaurants are expected to open by that year.

The street address will be 1948 Double Double Drive, Rob Howards, vice president of Technology and Business Operations, announced at the ceremony.

In-N-Out was founded in Baldwin Park in 1948. It is now based in Irvine but retains a large presence within walking distance of the place where Harry and Esther Snyder, Lynsi Snyder’s grandparents, opened their first drive-thru.

Snyder announced the Tennesse expansion with Gov. Bill Lee in January 2023.

In-N-Out has currently has a presence in eight states: California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Colorado and Idaho. Restaurants are aslo planned in New Mexico and Washington as well as Tennesee. Washington will likely open next, Snyder said at the ceremony, with Tennesse being the chain’s 10th state.

“Knowing that this will be the 10th state is really exciting. Tennessee, 10 is just kind of perfect.”
