The bridge was open to the public, a rep for Bon Jovi told The U.S. Sun, and the star happened to be nearby when he spotted the woman in trouble.

In the footage, Bon Jovi is seen approaching the woman with a friend and the pair begin talking to her.

After a few minutes, the pair grab her and pull her back onto the bridge.

Once back on the walkway, the rock legend embraces the woman.

Nashville police thanked Bon Jovi on their official X account after his heroic act of kindness.

“A shout out to @jonbonjovi & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night.

“Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety.

“It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,” the statement, signed Chief John Drake, concluded.

Multiple X users rushed to the footage posted by the police praising Bon Jovi for the good deed.

“This moved me to tears. In a time of such division and hardship, I can truly feel the love in his actions,” said one user.
