American country music singer-songwriter Zach Bryan’s name is all over social media, but this time not for his music. The singer recently made a post shading Taylor Swift, by claiming Ye West’s music was better in comparison. Long-time Swifties aware of the rather tense relationship between the two, rose to her defence.
Before reaching fame, Bryan had a whole different life and was even married. His prior relationship with ex-wife Rose Madden is very cryptic and no news can be found about his married life or divorce. Surprisingly this does not ring true for his current relationship with influencer Brianna Chickenfry, which is very public.
The Relationship Rollercoaster: From secretive marriage to public romance
Zach Bryan rose to fame by releasing Something In The Orange in 2022. This also won him a nomination for New Artist of the Year at the 2023 Country Music Awards. Before entering the country music world, the singer served the country via the United States Navy.
The rising singer was also married before gaining recognition, but his relationship ended in 2021. According to The List, the couple entered into the marital bond in 2020 but it sadly only lasted a year. Weirdly not a lot of information is available about his ex-wife, Rose Madden, and their married life.
Even information about the reason behind their separation is scarce, almost like all traces have been removed from public eyes. Ironically the Heading South singer’s current love life does not follow the same approach.
In a show in New York influencer Brianna LaPaglia, aka Brianna Chickenfry was called on stage in the middle of Bryan’s performance. This happened back in 2023 and fans speculated that the pair might be dating.
The confession and social media freak-out
Later Chickenfry confessed in her PlanBri Uncut podcast, confirming fans’ suspicions of an ongoing romance. The couple were very public about their relationship, unlike the singer’s take on his previous life.
It’s fun, it’s casual, and yeah, I just wanted to address it because the whole internet is freaking the f*** out.
Another public spectacle was the singer’s tweet which involved two of the biggest names in the music industry. On 17 September, the singer uploaded a post that implied he preferred Ye West‘s music over Taylor Swift‘s.
Everyone has the liberty of personal choice but fans didn’t overlook the hidden shade due to the inclusion of the rapper’s name. The duo had a feud previously and both artists wrote diss tracks about the other.
This post was seen as provocative by Swifties and Bryan promptly apologized claiming it was a drunk tweet. The singer later deactivated his X account but his Instagram account still had an explanation post where he praised Swift’s music.
Anyone willing to put politics above music don’t get the point of listening to music.
However, this was not his only post about the Anti-Hero singer, according to Variety he also spoke about artists mingling with politics. The singer said that musicians should not publicly stand for their political bias, which may be a reference to Swift endorsing Kamala Harris in the US elections.
