The video shows the man dressed head to toe in waterproof clothes, pitching up a grey tent in a grassy area.

He then puts the pegs in the ground to secure the tent – just a couple of metres away from the local’s garden.

The NC500 resident slammed the camper, saying he had a “full view” of their house.

They added: “Is this allowed?

“Setting up camp literally right outside my garden in full view of my house.

“Where’s he gonna go to the toilet?”

Many flocked to the comments on Facebook to give the resident some advice.

One person said: “Shocking. Tell him where to go.”

Another wrote: “You have every right to contact the police if you are feeling uncomfortable, they will ask him to move on.”

A third commented: “Not allowed, ring police as you are on your own and feel uneasy by his presence where he ought not to be in the first place.”

And a fourth added: “Under the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, he should not be camping next to houses.

“Unfortunately, it is a code which is basically asking people to behave responsibly and cannot be enforced.”

It comes after council chiefs have been forced to install a ‘do not use as toilet’ sign at a Scots beauty spot after months of locals finding piles of human waste along the NC500.

Angry residents on the popular route have been discovering vile heaps of human waste in their touristy hometowns over the summer.

Dubbed Scotland’s Route 66, the Scots beauty trail attracts millions of visitors each year – many of whom set up camp in the scenic spots.

But NC500 residents have grown increasingly tired of the daily disruption that some tourists are creating.
