Silo
Dystopia was a genre that got a lot of attention in the past, and while it might seem like it’s “gone out of fashion,” it’s still something many people crave when they’re looking for something to watch. Apple TV+ has leaned into this with Silo, investing heavily in the genre.
The series is inspired by Hugh Howey’s books Wool, Shift, and Dust, and unfolds in a terrifying post-apocalyptic world. In this setting, the planet is engulfed by a toxic, deadly atmosphere that has forced the few remaining survivors to live in an underground silo.
Inside this shelter, the population creates a new society with strict hierarchies, government roles, jobs, and plenty of secrets. Anyone who dares to question the silo or its rules is sent outside to test the planet’s toxicity for themselves.
Silo quickly became one of the most-watched shows on Apple TV+ during the release of its first season and is now in its second season. With a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it boasts an impressive cast, including Rebecca Ferguson, Rashida Jones, and David Oyelowo.
Dark Matter
Dark Matter is the epitome of fantastic sci-fi, created and developed by renowned author Blake Crouch. The series delves into the concept of the multiverse and explores all the possibilities that its different timelines can offer.
The plot follows Jason Dessen as he is kidnapped and thrust into an alternate version of his life. He embarks on a quest to find a way back to his original family, but along the way, he must confront a terrifying and agonizing enemy: himself.

While they’re in the office, they only retain their work-related memories, and at home, they have no recollection of their professional lives.
However, beneath this bizarre procedure lie numerous dark secrets that the company is desperate to keep hidden. The real challenge becomes figuring out how to unravel these mysteries without losing sight of their own identities.
The second season of Severance is set to premiere next year, with plans already underway for a third season. The series boasts an impressive 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and features a cast that includes Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette.
Presumed Innocent
