The live-action Straw Hat Pirates are once again ready to embark on their new journey towards Alabasta in the upcoming season of the One Piece live-action adaptation by Netflix. However, this time they are going to meet new characters and new enemies that are going to make their journey even more adventurous.
These new characters have been assigned to a new cast, and the most anticipated one among them is the main antagonist of the second season, Crocodile, who is being played by Joe Manganiello. The announcement about Manganiello portraying Crocodile caused a huge stir within the One Piece fanbase, as he is the perfect actor to do justice to Crocodile’s character.
In fact, the actor has already embraced the character of Crocodile and is all set to impress the fandom. Just after the announcement of him joining the One Piece cast, Manganiello changed his X banner to an iconic Crocodile and Luffy scene, and he even updated his bio with the legendary Crocodile dialogue.
Joe Manganiello Embraces Crocodile
Joe Manganiello is one of the most refined actors in Hollywood, and his portrayal of a villainous character has been anticipated ever since it was revealed that he would play the role of Deathstroke, the famous DC villain. While his fans never got to explicitly watch him perform as Deathstroke, they will now get to watch him play Crocodile, who is also an enticing villain.
The actor has started his preparation for portraying the character, and it feels like he understands Crocodile’s ideology even better than the creators of the live-action series.
He has dived deep into his character and has embraced him with open arms. This was reflected when fans saw his bio and banner on the social media platform X.

The Magic Mike actor has changed his banner to the iconic silhouette scene where Crocodile stabs Luffy. He even changed his bio and replaced it with the legendary dialogue by Crocodile, which he says when he first meets Luffy during the Impel Down arc.
One Piece Fans Can’t Wait To See Joe Manganiello As Crocodile
Crocodile is one of the most important characters in One Piece. His significance in the narrative extends even beyond the Alabasta Saga, and Manganiello’s acceptance of Crocodile’s role has made him one of the best actors in the eyes of One Piece fans.
Thus, when he changed his bio and banner, fans went wild and started expressing their excitement and anticipation to see Manganiello portray Crocodile in One Piece live-action adaptation season 2.
While some were just happy with Manganiello joining the cast, others talked about how he was going to do justice to Crocodile’s character.

Although there have been reports that the second season of One Piece live-action will follow the story till the Drum Island arc, fans will still get to see Manganiello’s performance as Crocodile. Hopefully, the creators will give him more screen time than what he got in the anime series before the Alabasta arc.
One Piece live-action is available to watch on Netflix.
