Joe Rogan’s Political Views Will Give Both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris Fans a Harsh Reality Check

Podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan has not officially endorsed a candidate in the upcoming US elections. However, his earlier support for a candidate in the presidential race surprised many of his fans. Rogan shared that he was a fan of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has since suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump.

According to Rogan, both the Democrats and Republicans were equally guilty of gaslighting, manipulating, and promoting narratives for their gains. Rogan felt that Kennedy Jr. was a legitimate guy, who was more reasonable and intelligent. Both personalities shared some common controversial beliefs, like their criticism of COVID-19 vaccines.

The Joe Rogan Experience is currently number one on the Spotify US charts and number three on the Apple Podcasts chart. It shows that Joe Rogan is one of the most influential podcasters in the country and his opinion does matter to millions of people. Both the Democrat and Republican sides of the campaign were offended when Rogan spoke highly of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in early August.

During one of the episodes on his podcast, Rogan shared that he liked Kennedy Jr. and added that he was the only one who made sense. Rogan bashed the right and the left for playing dirty politics and attacking each other personally. He shared that Kennedy Jr. only attacked actions and ideas, not people. He further shared his biggest achievement as an environment lawyer: cleaning up the East River. Rogan shared on the JRE podcast:

That’s just what they do. That’s politics. They do it on the left, they do it on the right. They gaslight you, they manipulate you, they promote narratives, and the only one who is not doing that is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. […] He’s the only one that makes sense to me. He’s the only one — he doesn’t attack people, he attacks actions and ideas, but he’s much more reasonable and intelligent. I mean, the guy was an environmental lawyer and he cleaned up the East River. He’s a legitimate guy.

However, Rogan later made it clear that he wasn’t endorsing Kennedy Jr. in the elections. When his clip was posted to social media, fans went wild. In an X post, Rogan wrote that he only appreciated Kennedy Jr.’s way of discussing things “with civility and intelligence.” He also mentioned how he admired Donald Trump‘s reaction to the attempt on his life, calling it “one of the most American f**king things of all time.”

Kennedy Jr. is the son of former US Senator and John F. Kennedy’s brother, Robert F. Kennedy. He filed as a Democratic candidate for the 2024 presidential nomination and later changed to an independent. Shortly after Rogan’s comments, Kennedy Jr. suspended his campaign and announced his support for Donald Trump.

Joe Rogan’s More Recent Comments Have Been Favoring Kamala Harris

While Joe Rogan still doesn’t endorse any candidate, his comments on Kamala Harris’ campaign may have rubbed Trump supporters the wrong way. His earlier support for Kennedy Jr. evoked some angry reactions from Trump and his MAGA supporters. The former President shared that Rogan would be booed at the next UFC event and later called him “a sort of a liberal guy” (via Lex Fridman podcast).

Rogan was impressed with Harris’ showing during the presidential debate earlier this month. He shared that she had a lot of pressure while kicking off the campaign and may have fumbled a bit, but she gave a “very good showing” during the debate. He shared that the team behind her campaign is doing a great job as “she’s nailing it” against Trump. He shared in another JRE podcast episode:

Whoever’s helping her. Whoever’s coaching her. Whoever’s the puppet master running the strings, f*cking amazing job. They did an amazing job from the moment Biden dropped out, forcing Biden to drop out. Whatever they’re doing, whoever is writing those speeches, getting her to deliver, coaching her. She’s nailing it.

See, the difference in that debate was not a difference in, like, who’s gonna have better policies? Who’s gonna be better for the country? The … debate, in my opinion, was who was better prepared. She was way better prepared.

Rogan also shared in another episode that he believed Harris could go on to win the election. He clarified that it was not because he wanted her to but shared that he could see her defeating Trump.
